Message from Head of School Katherine Bradley

When I was named Dana Hall’s Head of School in the fall of 2015, I felt immediately humbled and filled with an enormous sense of honor and pride. I knew I would be joining a strong community, one that values and celebrates academic excellence, innovation, kindness and a true commitment to all-girls education. Now that I have arrived on campus, my general expectations have not only been met, but surpassed, as I immerse myself in this culture that embraces risk-taking, global perspectives and scholarship. This was true when the first Heads of School, Julie and Sarah Eastman, opened the doors in 1881, and it is true as I follow in their footsteps today.

In this first year, I am eager to engage with this community and witness these values in action. It will be my honor to see our new 5th graders take on a challenging science experiment, 9th grade boarding students navigate dorm life away from home, and our seniors step into critical leadership roles. I am ready to cheer on our talented athletes and performers, and collaborate with Dana’s teachers and coaches who work so hard to inspire our students and ensure they are ready to pursue their passions and reach their full potential. I am very glad to be here, and I look forward to sharing this special place with the community beyond our campus.

Please visit our beautiful facilities, meet our students and faculty, and experience the excitement and joy of girls learning, leading and succeeding. I suspect you will quickly share in my amazement and appreciation.
