Step 3: Visit and Interview
Experience Dana first-hand. Visiting our campus and meeting with a member of the Admission staff is the best way for you to learn more about the School and for us to learn more about you. If you have not made an appointment, please call the Admission Office to do so. Please note that an interview is required to complete your application. If a visit to campus is not possible, other arrangements can be made by contacting the Admission Office. Admission decisions are made only after all application materials are received and an interview is completed.

Applicants from China:
To better facilitate the interview process for our students from China, we are excited to announce our new partnership with Vericant. Candidates who reside and attend school in China are required to interview with a representative from Vericant before scheduling an interview at Dana Hall. Vericant will conduct preliminary interviews and candidates will complete short writing samples during their visit with Vericant. Vericant does not evaluate candidates, but, rather, sends all information to Dana Hall for assessment. Dana Hall then will select students from among the completed Vericant interviews and determine which students will be offered a second interview with a member of the Dana Hall Admission staff. Please note:  your application fee does not include costs associated with the Vericant interview. For interview scheduling and fee information, please visit www.vericant.com/students. View frequently asked questions about Vericant.

Step 4: Test

We require that all domestic applicants for grades 6-10 take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) before February 1, 2012. Applicants for grade 11 may submit the SSAT, ISEE, PSAT or SAT results to meet the testing requirement. Students for whom English is not their first language are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and are encouraged to also take the SSAT. Please note that the SLEP cannot substitute the requirement of the TOEFL. Register for these tests online by visiting the following sites: www.ssat.org, www.iseetest.org, www.toefl.org. Please arrange to have the results forwarded to Dana Hall. Testing codes: SSAT-2728, ISEE-222275, TOEFL-7507.

Step 5: Keep Researching

As the year progresses, we encourage you to attend our Admission events, see a Dana performance, or go to a Dana game. Continue to ask questions and soak up as much information as you can. We believe that all of this research will pay off in your search for a school that fits you and will allow you to make an informative decision come March.
