The Dana Hall Language Lab provides students with a place to
develop their oral and aural skills.
With 20 student carrels (or computer stations) and one
instructor carrel, the Can-8 VirtuaLab is a learning solution designed to
provide a virtual classroom. The lab, located in Wayside, is accessible to both
the Middle and Upper School.
Each station has a HP Compaq computer with a Samsung monitor
and a network with many benefits:
Listening and speaking activities as well as more
task-oriented, communicative activities in multiple languages
Instructors can track and evaluate progress and provide
necessary feedback.
Students are able to follow class instruction or "drop in"
and work on many different activities on their own
Can serve as a pronunciation coach, a tool for practicing
conversation, grammar and comprehension skills or a testing site
Students have increased access to not only their teachers'
voices but also those of native speakers.
