Figuring things out for yourself

Becoming a boarder, I essentially moved out of my parents' house, enabling me to really grow up and be my own person. It's challenging, but it forces you to mature. I never thought I would be able to manage my own money and time without my parents. But, having accomplished this, I am that much more prepared for the "real world."
