Art Gallery Features Faculty Work

The Dana Hall School Art Gallery is showcasing pieces by Visual Arts Department Head Michael Frassinelli through November 23. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

While on sabbatical from Dana Hall January 2010 through June 211, Frassinelli was able to dedicate more time to his pieces, as well as travel around the country visiting with Dana alumnae. His visits included tours of galleries, speaking about his work, and updating alumnae about what projects Dana art students are involved in today.

“I would like to thank the Congdon family for supporting The Congdon Sabbatical program,” said Frassinelli. “It is a wonderful opportunity for faculty to take time off to study in their area of expertise. The time away was an incredible gift to concentrate on my own art work and to bring that energy back into the classroom.”

The Dana Hall Art Gallery provides a program of exhibitions by local and visiting artists throughout the academic year for the Dana Hall and surrounding communities. The Gallery is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It is closed weekends and school holidays. For more information call (781) 235-3010.
