Climbing Programs Offered at Shipley Center

Dana Hall School is offering two new climbing programs to take members of the community to new heights. There will be two programs, one for children and another for adults. See descriptions below. Climbing equipment will be provided by Dana Hall School.

• Weekly climbing class on Wednesdays or Fridays from 9 to 10:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 12:30 to 2 p.m.
• Eight-week session, April 9 – May 30
• Open to kids ages 4 and 5
• Improve fitness through climbing, stretching, walking (indoor), and games
• Gain confidence, learn problem solving skills, and improve hand eye coordination
• Six to one student to instructor ratio
• Experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and supportive instructor
• Introductory offer for Dana Hall families, alumnae, and friends: $200 per session 

Coffee Climb: Adult Fitness and Strength Building through Climbing
• Twice weekly, total of four hours of supervised training per week, for eight weeks session
• 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12 to 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 8– May 29
• Open to beginners and/or climbers of any level
• Learn basic skills and risk management for indoor climbing
• Practice fundamentals of movement on the vertical plane
• Understand equipment, knots, climbing signals, belaying and lowering and more
• Gain proficiency to pass belay tests for other climbing gyms
• Six to one student to instructor ratio
• Experienced, knowledgeable, patient, supportive instructor
• Introductory offer for Dana Hall families, alumnae, and friends: $400 per session
