Concert Jan. 26: Tribute to Artists "Gone Too Soon"

Dana Hall School presents its third annual Choral Concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008. The theme of this year’s concert is “Gone Too Soon,” a tribute to artists who lost their lives at an early age.

The program will feature music from Selena, Patsy Cline, Janis Joplin, George Harrison, George Gershwin, John Denver, Glenn Miller, Kurt Cobain, Nat King Cole, Otis Redding, Cass Elliot, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, and John Lennon, performed by the Upper School Chorus and the Chamber Singers.

"Many of the artists led troubled lives, but many also left legacies of hope, peace, inspiration, and joy," said David Coleman, director of choral music. "We honor them and their music in this choral tribute."

The concert is free and open to the public. It will be held in Bardwell Auditorium on the Dana Hall campus at 37 Cameron Street in Wellesley. For more information, please call 781-235-3010.
