| Dana Hall Gallery Welcomes Alumna Helen Morse '72 |
|
The Dana Hall Art Gallery presents “Photographs” by Dana Hall alumna Helen Morse ’72. The show will run from May 12 through June 15. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13. Refreshments will be provided. The exhibit is open to the public.
The Dana Hall Art Gallery is located on the second floor of the Classroom Building. The Gallery is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is closed during weekends and school holidays. |

In 1971, while Morse was a student at Dana Hall School, she took a beginner’s photography course and fell in love with the darkroom. She began to explore colorizing photos in college. By adding injections of patterns and colors, which were not a part of the original photograph, Morse feels she is able to give ordinary subjects a dreamlike quality. This exhibit focuses on her colorizing technique.
