Dana Hall to host World of Wellesley Multicultural Festival

Dana Hall School will host the 2007 World of Wellesley Multicultural Festival from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 4. The festival, which be held in the gymnasium of the Shipley Center, is free and open to the public.

The community-oriented diversity event will feature entertainment by local music and dance groups, art exhibitions, and a wide array of international foods provided by local restaurants. There also will be informational exhibits by the Wellesley Public Library, the Wellesley Police Department, and other local groups. Artwork and crafts, including works by Wellesley schoolchildren, also will be on display. Ethnic foods will be available throughout the day.

"The World of Wellesley was founded to stimulate awareness of multiculturalism and diversity in our town," said Richard McGhee, World of Wellesley board chairman. "Many of our board and committee members participate in bringing the annual Multicultural Festival to the town, and it's always a lot of fun."
