Dana students observe presidential politics

On Nov. 1, the staff of the Hallmanac, Dana's student newspaper, learned a very important quality you must have if you want to succeed in the journalism world: patience. The newspaper staff headed to Wellesley College to hear Senator Hillary Clinton address the crowd gathered at her alma mater.

Even though the presidential-hopeful arrived almost two hours late to the event, students in Dana's journalism program said it was well-worth the wait.

The eight students were particularly impressed with Clinton's appreciation of the education she received at the all-girls institution.

"[An] all-girls' college is what prepared me to compete in the all-boys' club of presidential politics," Clinton said.

After shaking a few hands Clinton headed for her next stop, but left a lasting impression in the minds of a few Dana students.

"Who knows, perhaps next year we could see history made with the election of this intelligent and capable woman," said L. Gillespie, the Hallmanac editor.
