| International Assembly Shows Cultures, Traditions |
|
On Monday, April 6, the Dana Hall community gathered in Waldo Auditorium to celebrate the culture, diversity and history of its international students. The annual International Assembly gives students a chance to show their culture in traditional and modern ways. Natives of South Korea sang a traditional Korean song accompanied by violins and piano, while others performed a dance to a modern Korean pop song. Students from Ecuador, Spain, Philippines and Germany presented slide shows of personal photos from their home countries. Three students from Japan told the history of Hello Kitty, as well as performed a dance interpretation of the cultural icon. A traditional song and dance from Thailand was performed by six students, and the assembly came to a close with a high energy Kung Fu presentation by students from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
