| Middle School Presents Chaos Carnival Nov. 18 & 19 |
|
The Dana Hall Middle School will present the original play Chaos Carnival at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18 and at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 19 in Waldo Auditorium. The play is open to the public and free of charge. Chaos Carnival was written by English and Performing Arts teacher Elisebeth Fenstermaker along with students from the Middle School. "Over my sabbatical, I encountered the work of Charles Mee, whose ideas about the collaborative and recycled nature of writing plays were inspiring," said Fenstermaker. "I took the central idea of one of his plays, a motley crew of characters are stuck in an amusement park, and posed a challenge to the students: they had to figure out how to get the characters out! The result is Chaos Carnival." Chaos Carnival includes 27 actresses with set design courtesy of the 8th grade Tech Theater class. Waldo Auditorium is located in the Classroom Building on the Dana Hall campus. For more information please call (781) 235-3010. Find Dana Hall on Facebook at www.facebook.com/DanaHallSchool. |
