Model UN Team Excels at Model Arab League Competition

Dana Hall’s Model UN team’s winning streak continues. Dana Hall improved to three for three in competition this year, after earning high honors on April 25 and 26 for their representation of Iraq and Lebanon at Northeastern University’s Model Arab League.

In all five committee rooms, Dana took home the Outstanding Delegate Award; additionally, the team earned two Honorable Mentions and won the Outstanding Delegation (All-School) Award.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Dana Hall has taken the top spot in the Model Arab League, but this marks the first time the team has taken home the Outstanding Delegate Award in all five rooms.

Outstanding Delegate awards went to M. Stracqualursi ’08 for Arab Heads of State,
C. Blakelock ’10 for Joint Defense Council, A. Nelson-Feeney ’08 for Social and Humanitarian Affairs, K. Wipperfeld ’10 for Palestinian Affairs, and C. Graves ’10 for Environmental Affairs.

Honorable Mention went to Z. Stanley-Lockman ’10 for Environmental Affairs and
L. Fisher ’09 for Arab Heads of State.

The Outstanding School Delegation Award went to all nine team members: M. Stracqualursi ’08, L. Fisher ’09, C. Blakelock ’10, M. Kelly ’11, A. Nelson-Feeney ’08, K. Wipperfeld ’10, L. Mullen ’11, C. Graves ’10, and Z. Stanley-Lockman ’10.
