Model UN Team Finds Success at First Competition

On Sunday, November 6, 16 delegates from Dana Hall’s Model UN team attended their first competition of the year at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H. The team finished strong, winning multiple awards and passing three of their resolutions.

M. Efthim ’12 earned an Outstanding Delegate Award and M. Chisholm ’13, M. Fulham ’13, and M. Pontes ’12 earned Verbal Commendations.

“Although not everyone could bring home an award, all of the Dana girls did a fabulous job,” said Social Studies teacher and Model UN advisor Heather Panahi. “I am privileged to work with such sharp and compassionate women! No doubt the world would be a better place if our girls were truly UN delegates.”

Dana’s Model UN team is back in action on December 10 when they compete at St. John’s Preparatory School.
