New Art Gallery Inspired by Green Initiatives

The Dana Hall School Art Gallery announces its last show of 2009 titled Paper!, which runs from December 9 through December 18, 2009. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The show, created by Dana Hall art students, features 3-D art, architecture and fashion made from recycled paper. The exhibit was inspired by the Dana Hall Green Team and the campus-wide efforts to recycle, reuse and reduce the amount of paper and other resources used by the School. The exhibit includes a life-size paper evening gown by M. Matsumura ’10, and a geodesic-domed structure, big enough to stand in, built by the advance architecture class. Gallery visitors are invited to contribute their own paper creations to the show, as materials will be available for public use at the gallery.

The Dana Hall Art Gallery provides a program of exhibitions by local and visiting artists throughout the academic year for the Dana Hall and surrounding communities. The Gallery is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It is closed weekends and school holidays.
