School of Music Welcomes a New Director

Leslie Wu Foley has been named the new director of the Dana Hall School of Music. Leslie brings a background of 20 years experience in performing arts, community outreach, and educational programming.

Most recently, Leslie held the role of director at the Center for Art and Community Partnerships at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Prior to that she was the associate director for Education and Community Programs at the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Leslie brings extensive management experience, innovative community program development, and a deep appreciation and passion for music education. She has held Board of Directors positions at the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Roxbury Repertory Theater and Longwood Symphony Orchestra. As a graduate of Princeton University, Leslie also performed as the principal cellist in the Princeton University Orchestra.

For more than 50 years, the Dana Hall School of Music has provided opportunities for adults and children to explore the beauty of self-expression through music. Through individual and group instruction and a variety of small ensembles and workshops, the School of Music's accomplished teachers help students become proficient, enthusiastic musicians.
