| Upper School Presents A Midsummer Night's Dream |
|
Dana Hall School, along with students from Roxbury Latin School, will present A Midsummer Night's Dream at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14 in Bardwell Auditorium. Admission is free for Dana Hall students and staff and $8 for members of the community. A Midsummer Night's Dream, written by William Shakespeare, is a romantic comedy that weaves imagination with reality. The play includes 20 actresses, five actors, and two student stage managers.
Director and Performing Arts Department Head Kevin Groppe is helping the actors and actresses play with the idea of creating a supernatural fairy world behind a modern real world. "This is an extremely animated and physical version of the play," Groppe said. "It is tremendous fun as it combines romance, comedy and magic. People can read and enjoy the play, but the visual of it is entertaining and beautiful." Bardwell Auditorium is located on the Dana Hall campus at 37 Cameron Street in Wellesley. For more information please call (781) 235-3010 Ext. 2731.
