From horses to hockey sticksAs a competitive equestrian, when I tried out for ice hockey junior year, everyone was shocked. I had never ice skated! When I arrived for tryouts, I thought I would step on the ice, fall down, and that would be that. To my surprise, I wasn't half bad. All my fears disappeared when no one laughed, but rather helped me learn. They encouraged me so much that I ended up making the team. Jacquelyn, 11th grade |
