The Dana Hall Parents’ Association, in collaboration with the Nina Heald Webber Archives, produced a book to honor the School’s 130th year. The Little Blue Book: 130 Years of Dana Hall Traditions and Celebrations includes photographs, memorabilia, anecdotes, and fun facts submitted by students, faculty, parents and alumnae. The book commemorates the traditions, stories and celebrations of Dana Hall and includes alumnae memories, words of wisdom and pictures. Contributions came from today’s students and faculty and the Nina Heald Webber Archives.

- A competition was held in the mid-1950s to find a new Dana Alma Mater. Denise Bacon '37, Head of the Dana Hall Music Department from 1948-1969 and Director of the Dana Hall School of Music from 1957-1969, won the competition. Her song was pronounced the "most singable" and it is the song that we sing today.
- Dana Hall's first outdoor graduation was held at the pond in 1967. Mrs. Phelps, Principal from 1963 – 1973, felt that this commencement "used to the greatest advantage the natural beauty of the campus, the girls and the occasion."
- Kaharine Lee Bates, one of Dana’s first teachers, taught at Dana Hall from 1882 to 1886. In 1893 she went to the top of Pike’s Peak and the panorama below inspired her to write our national anthem ‘America the Beautiful.'
