The Alumnae Relations, Communications, and Development Office Class Annual Fund Committee - The Class Gift Chairs play a vital role in the annual giving effort at Dana Hall School. The major responsibilities of this position are to communicate the ongoing successes of Dana, solicit Annual Fund gifts for the School, increase class giving participation, and help meet the class fundraising goal.
While giving is voluntary, we encourage all families, alumnae, and friends of the School to participate as they are able. Dana Hall is fortunate to have many supporters who give in numerous ways—by making gifts, participating in fundraising activities, and volunteering for school activities.
Gifts to the Annual Fund support the people and programs that form Dana Hall’s unique community, one that encourages each Dana student to realize her potential, take on new challenges, and become the very best version of herself.

Shipley Center Snack Bar We are requesting parent/guardian supervision of the snack bar in The Ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:15-5:15 p.m. Students also will be asked to volunteer, but we would like an adult present whenever the snack bar is open. Ideally, we would like a commitment of one day per week. In the winter months, we would like to staff the snack bar from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The Host Family Program and Boarding Community Enrichment Program offer our international and boarding students a warm welcome and connection to local students, while providing the opportunity for sharing cultures.
Host Family Program Host families will be matched with an international or domestic boarding student and are invited to join their host daughter for the host family breakfast.
It is expected that the host family will provide activities throughout the year to engage the host student, such as: dinner at home, an overnight or weekend visit, tours of the local and surrounding area, and involvement with host daughters during Parents' Weekend (especially if her parents will not be attending).
Boarding Community Enrichment Volunteers for Boarding Community Enrichment are affiliated with one dorm and become familiar with the House Director and students who reside in that dorm. They may be asked to assist with a social function, provide dorm snacks for special occasions, transport boarders to appointments, the grocery store, or for shopping for Dana traditions, prom, holidays, and other needs. Assistance may be needed with “stress-breaker” events during exam periods, evenings “at home” for boarders, and on move-out day in June.
