Interscholastic Equestrian Team

iea_riding.jpgThe Dana Hall Interscholastic Equestrian Team gives riders the opportunity to demonstrate their horsemanship skills as part of a team, both at the varsity and junior varsity level. This is a unique experience for many competitors, as riding is often considered an individual sport.

Throughout the season, more than 30 Dana Hall students participate in a variety of shows in the IEA Zone 1. Riders compete on horses provided by the host team, adding the additional challenge of an unfamiliar horse. Over the course of the season, riders work to accumulate points in an attempt to qualify for a National Finals at the end of the year.

The Dana Hall Equestrian Team will be participating in the following shows in 2009-10:

November 7, 2009 – Dana Hall School
January 10-Volvo Farm
January 17-Volvo Farm
January 30, 2010 – Dana Hall School
March 6-7, 2010- Regionals for Region 2
March 27-28, 2010– Zone Finals
April 22-25, 2010- National Finals
