In the studio

Dana Hall students are encouraged to explore new ideas, materials and perspectives in art classes that include drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, architecture, and design, with plenty of opportunity to share their work and learn from their peers.

A passion for art

Before Dana, I never really thought about art as a passion of mine. Now, as a senior, I'm in "Painting 2". Our teacher entered a bunch of us in a national art competition, and I received an Honorable Mention!  I will probably end up at an art college and do what I do best... learn how to paint and draw and do EVERYTHING so that I can rock out in any media I want.

Inspiration from classmates

My painting classes have challenged me to experiment with new materials and styles. We also critique each others' artwork. These critiques allow me to see my work through someone else's eyes and notice aspects of it that I never had before. You also see how other people are interpreting the project, which can in turn inspire you.
