On the field

Have you ever had that dream where you score the winning goal as time runs out? Or maybe you would rather swim, fence, or skate your way to victory. With emphasis on mind/body balance and world class facilities right on campus, Dana Hall athletics provide opportunities for fitness, leadership, competition, and fun.

Winning effort off the field

Field hockey tryouts were really tough, but when I checked the list, I had made Junior Varsity! My coach made my first season in an Upper School sport the best it could be. I improved as a player, as a student and as a person. I learned field smarts that help me in lacrosse as well, and I learned perseverance, determination, and will power. Now I always put in the "extra step" in my school work, too.

A season of improvement

I played lacrosse in eighth grade. In ninth grade, I was asked to play goalie for the JV team, which seemed extremely scary. The first game, we lost. I felt responsible, but my coach sent me an e-mail saying not to be too hard on myself. We went on to win or tie every other game, and I won the "Most Improved" award for the season.
