Q: Dana Hall is a boarding school for girls, what does that mean for the camp? A: Our camp is a co-ed, day program. We welcome boys and girls ages 7-14. Our camp day goes from 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Q: My child is interested in more than one activity, is there a chance for her to try more than one? A: Yes! The daily schedule is set up so that each camper may try each of the activities we offer. The morning is broken down into blocks and campers will learn instruction in each activity. The afternoon is reserved for “free choice” and campers can choose their favorite activity for the afternoon.
Q: Is there a time when I can tour the facility? A:Yes, "drop in" hours at the Shipley Center are Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. Please call ahead if you are interested in touring the facility.
Q: Does the camp provide financial assistance? A: At this time we are unable to offer financial assistance. We do work in cooperation with organizations such as Wellesley Friendly Aid, which provides assistance to Wellesley families to afford summer camp.
Q: Does the Dana Hall Camp offer a discount if I enroll more than one child? A: Yes, we offer a 5% discount for each additional sibling enrolled within the same session.
Q: Is there a CIT program? A: We are no longer running a CIT program.
Q: Will all campers be able to snorkel/scuba? A: For safetly purposes, the number of campers who participate in scuba and snorkeling is limited. The decision will be made on the first day of camp based on age and interest.
Q: Can I enroll my child for just 1 week? A: Yes, given the structure and schedule of the camp, we feel it is most beneficial for a "1 week camper" to attend the first week of a session. We are, however, flexible and can accommodate most schedules.
