Squash and Tennis Camp

Dana Hall School continues to run its Squash and Tennis camp. Campers will enjoy a full day of squash, tennis and swimming as they develop new skills, gain self-confidence and have fun. tennis.jpg

 

Sessions and Dates
The camp day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. In 2010, the camp will run six, one-week sessions:

Session I: June 28 - July 2
Session II: July 5 - 9
Session III: July 12 - 16
Session IV: July 19 - 23
Session V: July 26 - 30
Session VI: August 2 - 6

Ages
The Dana Hall Squash and Tennis Camp is open to boys and girls, ages 9-15.

Cost
$550 per week

Director
Wendy Berry is a highly qualified racket sports coach with a passion for tennis and squash and working with players at all levels, in individual and group settings, to assist them in realizing their potential. She currently is the Head Squash Coach and an Assistant Professor at Wellesley College. Previously she has been the club pro at the Merion Cricket Club and Berwyn Squash & Fitness Club, and the director of the Franklin & Marshall Summer Squash Camp.

Program Highlights:

•Two hours of both squash and tennis instruction per day

•Introduction to proper stretching and conditioning

•Daily free swim

•Nutritional lunch served in the Dana Hall Dining Center

Sample Schedule:

9:00 a.m.-Arrival
9:15-11:15 a.m.-Squash/Tennis Instruction
11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.-Lunch
12:15-12:45 p.m.-Free Swim
1:00-2:45 p.m.- Squash/Tennis Instruction
3:00 p.m.- Dismissal

Facilities
Dana Hall School has five outdoor tennis courts and four indoor squash courts. The squash courts are located in The Shipley Center, the School's state-of-the-art facility that is fully air-conditioned and features a gymnasium, fitness center, and 6,589-square foot aquatics center.
