With a substantial endowment, Dana Hall can keep class sizes small, keep tuition increases under control, and expand financial support so that a greater number of qualified students can access a Dana Hall education. A larger endowment also will enable the School to better compensate our outstanding faculty and attract and retain the most talented new teachers.

By building its endowment, Dana Hall’s legacy as a national leader in girls’ education will live on for years to come. Endowment gifts – donations of cash, securities, and/or real property – are invested. The School spends only a small amount of the endowment’s earnings (approximately 5 percent) each year. Because it is invested prudently, and the average growth in the endowment’s value exceeds the amount withdrawn, donors can be assured that their gifts also will increase over time, and will benefit the School long into the future.
