Birthday Book Donations

Celebrate your daughter's birthday and enrich and grow the Library's collection by participating in Dana Hall's Birthday Book program.
Your gift will not only add to our library resources, but will also establish a permanent commemoration of your daughter's birthday. Even though digital resources are key components of our collection, the purchase of good books in print format continues to be a top priority to support our students.

The librarians will be happy to select the book for you, or you may choose a title or general subject area. If you specify a particular title, please provide several options, since that title may not be available or it may already be part of the collection.

Your gift is tax deductible. Upon receipt of your gift, the library will order the book and send a note to your daughter letting her know that a birthday book has been given in her honor. A special bookplate stating your daughter's name, her birthday and the donor’s name will be placed on the front flyleaf of the book, and her name will also be included in the book’s online catalog record. A selection of birthday books will be on display in the Library during the last few weeks of the school year.

"In my Literature Composition I class we did a poetry unit before winter break. Our poetry project was in collaboration with a school in Turkey. We created our own websites to display our works of poetry. The last day of school before winter break we were able to Skype with the kids from the school in Turkey, and it was so much fun to interact with students who were so far away. We were able to learn what their school was like, and how their classes worked."
