Rock Climbing and Music
My favorite extracurricular activity is a tie between rock climbing and music. When I first came to Dana, I tried rock climbing for the first time. At first it was really scary, but with the constant encouragement from my teacher, I learned a lot about climbing. I also learned that I am way more determined than I thought. Getting to the top of a route on the wall is so amazing. No matter how many times I do it, it is always rewarding, and that's what I like so much about it. I also enjoy playing music here. Music is my passion and I couldn't live with out it. Taking music lessons at the School of Music at Dana has helped me relieve my stress during the week, and I can do what I love most.
Erisman Student Center
My favorite place on campus is the Erisman Student Center. Not only does it have my favorite thing – food – but it's also a great place to go and hang out with friends and do some work. It is also the place where I organized the first Dana Hall open mic night, and that was really cool. The Student Center is a great place to do activities that bring the community together, and that's why I love it so much.
Sixth Grade Year
My favorite Dana Hall memory is hard because there are so many. I think my sixth grade year as a whole has to be my favorite memory of all. Our class was really small and I never had experienced such a special bond at any school before. In sixth grade our whole class played tag throughout the entire Middle School when the eight graders and the seventh graders were away on trips. That will always be a very strong memory in my mind.
