Awards and Nominations

The Distinguished Alumna Award is presented each year to a Dana Hall alumna who has demonstrated outstanding distinction in her professional and/or volunteer field of endeavor, providing an inspiring role model for students. The Dana Hall Alumnae Association accepts nominations for this award throughout the school year and the recipient is announced in the spring. The recipient accepts the Distinguished Alumna Award during Reunion Weekend. 
 

Nominations can only come from Dana alumnae. Nominations will be considered for two years, the year of submission and the following year.

In honor of Dana Hall’s 130th Anniversary, The Distinguished Young Alumna Award was established by the Young Alumnae Board. The award is presented each year to a young Dana alumna* who personifies the school’s motto: Amor Caritas. The winner of the Distinguished Young Alumna Award will have demonstrated outstanding distinction by giving back to her community, providing an inspiring role model for students. The Dana Hall Alumnae Association accepts nominations for this award throughout the school year and the recipient is announced in the spring. The recipient accepts the Distinguished Young Alumna Award during Reunion Weekend.

DISTINGUISHED YOUNG ALUMNA AWARD CRITERIA:

• Individual has made her voice or name known as leader in her professional pursuits, philanthropic activities, or volunteer service and is becoming a respected woman in a particular area or service field.
• Individual can serve as a role model to current students.
• Individual has accomplished or achieved a privilege/honor/responsibility in her career, professional organization, or volunteer activity that embodies the values of leadership and service.

In honor of Dana Hall’s 125th anniversary in 2006, the Distinguished Service Award was established to honor an individual, couple, or group who has consistently demonstrated extraordinary commitment, dedication, and service to the advancement of Dana Hall School. The Dana Hall Alumnae Association accepts nominations for this award throughout the school year and the recipient is announced in the spring. The recipient accepts the Distinguished Service Award during Reunion Weekend.
