School of Music

Dana Hall musicians know what it's like to own the stage. The School of Music is a source of tremendous creative energy and a renowned cultural resource in the local community.
The Dana Hall School of Music offers instrumental ensembles and private instruction:
  • Private Instrumental and Voice Lessons
  • Chamber Ensembles
  • Percussion Groups
  • Rock Bands
  • Jazz Combos
  • Music Theater and Cabaret
  • Music Theory
  • Songwriting and Composition
  • Music Workshops
  • The Arneis Quartet, Chamber Ensemble-in-Residence
  • Annual Young Artists
  • Chamber Competition
The School of Music also welcomes the local community for lessons and groups. 

Dana Hall students, regardless of previous music experience, may enroll in private music lessons through the Dana Hall School of Music. Upper School students may take private lessons for credit. Instruction is offered on a wide variety of instruments and for voice, including piano, electric and acoustic guitar, electric bass, percussion and drums, jazz and pop voice, violin, viola, cello, harp, flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone and bassoon.
