As three buildings in one—a health center, an athletic/fitness center, and a student activity center—the facility meets multiple needs of students, faculty members, and staff during the school day as well as after school and on weekends. The equipment and facilities in these buildings are for you to use and master—and you’ll never have to wait for the boys to finish first.
Facilities
The Shipley Center for Athletics, Health and Wellness (“The Ship”) is a 93,000-square-foot facility dedicated to the health and well-being of our community. Located on the second floor of the Shipley Center, the dance studio features a large multipurpose, shock-absorbing surface and state-of-the art lighting and sound systems.

Sisters Field, Dana Hall's turf field built in 2019, is home to our field hockey and lacrosse programs. The new turf has allowed Dana Hall athletes to compete with our top peer schools. Even during inclement weather, our teams have a safe playing surface on which to compete.
The Upper School Field is a well-maintained grass field for our soccer and lacrosse programs. The dimensions are 55 yards wide by 100 yards long, which are set according to the National Federation of State High School Associations. This is the field where we host our annual Family Weekend homecoming soccer game under the lights.
Our equestrian center includes a large barn area complete with 45 stalls, two indoor arenas with dust-free footing, and 12 turnout paddocks. The Cookie DeSimone Arena is a 200 x 200 outdoor arena with dust-free footing and a complete set of horse show jumps.
The Boston Sports Institute (BSI), located 7 minutes from the Dana Hall campus, is a new state-of-the-art facility that serves as the home for Dana Hall's ice hockey and diving teams. On the rink, the School seal is proudly displayed at center ice.
