Please join the FSCC* on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 for a discussion on Dr. Joy DeGruy's research on Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: The Syndrome Passed on Through Generations. In this conversation, we will explore what is Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome, and raise awareness on how some behaviors and trauma have been passed on to current generations. We have also invited the Upper School students who attended the Student Diversity Leadership Conference in December 2019 to join us to share their reflections on Dr. Joy DeGruy's presentation. Your children are welcome to participate in the conversation. While Dr. DeGruy will not be with us live, we will be watching some of her videos from her website and discussing.
"My favorite Dana Hall memory would be the first time I ever sang the Alma Mater with my fellow classmates. That was most definitely the first time I felt like I was truly a part of something. Joining hands with my future Silver Sisters made me truly feel like I was a Dana girl."
