The Karen Stives '68 Equestrian Center

A large barn area complete with 45 stalls

There is stabling for 45 horses at KSEC. The state-of-the-art barn has spacious stalls with two indoor heated wash stalls and feed room. KSEC currently has 19 school horses that range from beginner horses through advanced horses that attend local shows.

Two indoor arenas with dust-free footing

The more expansive of the two indoor arenas, the Larson Arena is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, jumps and mirrors.

Twelve turnout paddocks

Our excellent staff of equine professionals provides continuous care ensuring the safety and well being of our horses and our riders at all times. Veterinary and blacksmith care are coordinated by the KSEC's Horse Care Coordinator, ensuring personalized care to meet the individual needs of each horse.

The Cookie DeSimone Arena

Constructed in 2017, the Cookie DeSimone Arena is a 200 x 200 outdoor arena with dust-free footing and a complete set of horse show jumps. It honors former Head Trainer Cookie DeSimone, who retired in 2016 after 44 years of service at Dana Hall School.
