SHADES Alumni Endowed Fund for Racial Equity Programming

The SHADES Alumni Chapter is a support and advocacy group for BIPOC alums, parents, and trustees. With a commitment to “the growth and success of Dana Hall, the students, and the black and brown communities they touch,” the group is focused on advocacy, activity, and agency.

The group has created The SHADES Alumni Endowed Fund for Racial Equity Programming. Established with gifts from Dana Hall graduates and friends with a goal of $100,000 or more, the fund will provide a permanent source of funding for Dana Hall’s racial equity programming.

"Dana offers many great opportunities including a trip to South Africa every other year. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d be visiting South Africa, let alone with some of my closest friends. The trip enabled us to interact with real South Africans as they experienced their real lives, an opportunity I could never have had as a tourist."
