Kayla DaSilva Named Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach

Kayla DaSilva has been named Dana Hall’s Varsity Field Hockey head coach. She brings years of coaching experience at the club and collegiate level.

“I'm excited to work with the program that Dana Hall has where the athletes can grow as individual players, and advance in their skills and knowledge of the game,” she said. “Of those athletes I have briefly spoken with, you can see their drive to push themselves as individuals and as a team to be better. They want to be more competitive, and I look forward to working with all of them to help them achieve their goals.”

Coach DaSilva was most recently assistant field hockey coach at Wellesley College after having served as Wheaton College’s associate head coach. Along with coaching at the college level, she has coached at the club level from ages U8 to U19. She worked at Lead The Way Field Hockey Club for a decade in various roles before moving to the Patriot Field Hockey Club in 2023.

“It is always great to see kids develop over time,” Coach DaSilva said. “Every athlete develops at different levels, and it is so fun to see them continue to advance and push those around them to advance as well. Coaching is also a way to give back to a community in which I had the opportunity to grow as an athlete and into the coach I am today. I have been influenced by the coaches I have had over the years as well as those I worked alongside.”
