A Journey to the Underworld and Back

A Journey to the Underworld and Back

Step into the underworld at the Upper School spring musical “Hadestown,” playing May 16 & 17, at 7:30 p.m., in Bardwell Auditorium. The show is free and open to the public.

“Hadestown” takes you on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back, intertwining two mythic love stories: that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. A deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience, “Hadestown” invites you to imagine how the world could be.

“This has undoubtedly been one of the biggest and most rewarding productions we’ve tackled in a long time,” said Director of Theater Daniel Morris. “With a cast of 29, a live band on stage and every aspect run entirely by student technicians, I’m beyond excited to share the incredible work this team has poured into the show.”

Please note that Bardwell is not wheelchair accessible.
