The Dana Hall Middle School presents its spring musical, “Shrek, Jr.,” on Thursday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m., in Bardwell Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public.

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in “Shrek, Jr.,” based on the Oscar-winning film and Broadway musical. It’s a big bright beautiful world as everyone’s favorite ogre leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairytale, Shrek, Jr., is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

“Our ensemble of 13 individuals is successfully playing 47 roles, with an extensive wardrobe of 193 costume pieces,” said Director of Theater Daniel Morris. “Our mighty tech crew is handling set and prop building, will be running lights/sounds/projections, and assisting with all of these quick costume changes. It’s inspiring to witness the dedication and hard work that have gone into bringing this production to life.”

Bardwell Auditorium is located at 37 Cameron Street on the Dana Hall campus. Please note it is not wheelchair accessible.
