Revels 2025

Revels 2025

With singing, dancing, laughter and lots of good cheer, Revels is a high-spirited celebration of the Winter Solstice that also marks the start of Dana Hall’s Winter Break.

This year, it was the Class of 2027’s turn to present the play that was first performed in 1921. The juniors eagerly stepped into familiar roles, including the Jester, Seneschal, Sir John, Queen, Lady of Misrule, and of course, Timmy. As the stage filled with Princesses, Sword Dancers, Cooks, Minstrels, Dancers, Rabblers, Log Children and Foresters, the Class of 2027 revealed their take on the Mummer’s Play, featuring Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero and more from “Wicked.”

In her final line, the Lady of Misrule declared, “Our play is done, we must be gone, we stay no longer here. We wish you all both great and small, a happy bright New Year!” And with that, bagpipers led the entire school community to the Dining Hall, where tradition cake awaited.
