Sara Remsen ’08 Named Commencement Speaker

Sara Remsen ’08 will be returning to Grove Street as the Class of 2026’s Commencement Speaker.

Remsen is an entrepreneur and AI product designer whose career has moved between the natural world and technology in equal measure. After beginning her career teaching biology at Noble and Greenough School, Sara led STEM content at an edtech startup, then built and sold her own tech company to PTC — staying on to scale it and launch new product lines — before co-founding an AI analytics startup.

Along the way she has volunteered in marine mammal rescue, served as interim director of a maritime museum and aquarium, and spoken regularly at MIT on entrepreneurship. A past She Sails panelist and judge for the Girls Summer Entrepreneurship Program’s Dragon’s Lair, Sara holds a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Dartmouth and an MS in Integrated Design and Management from MIT. She is the creator of Wildkind, a children's magazine inspiring curiosity about nature. She lives in Gloucester, Mass., with her husband and two kids.

The Class of 2026’s Commencement will take place will take place on Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m., in a tent on Wayside Field. It will also be available online via livestream.
