The annual Senior Art Show is now open! This year's exhibit features a diverse range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media creations. The work reflects the unique perspectives, hard work and variety of talents of the student artists of the Class of 2023, and most of the work was created during their last year at Dana Hall.
“We usually have the Senior Art Show in the Art Gallery, but it currently is under construction due to the Classroom Building renovation project,” said Michael Frassinelli, Visual Arts Department Head. “However, this particular group of senior artists are particularly used to disruption: from having art classes during lockdown or masked in hybrid classrooms during a global pandemic to putting down temporary roots in the Beveridge Art Studio this year, they have overcome a lot just showing up to school each day. Art helps to make it through trying times, and I like to think these artists will take with them a special badge of honor for having made it through these years. Their inspirations and talents are clearly seen in the work from this show, and whether or not they go on to art school or art careers, they will each take a handful of creativity with them.”
