Welcoming New Faces

A new school year means new faces on campus. This summer, the following faculty and staff members joined the Dana Hall community, bringing years of experience and expertise across various disciplines:

Alisa Placas Frutman is the Digital Archivist in the Helen Temple Cooke Library. She brings years of experience in project management, digital archive preservation and historical documentary storytelling. Alisa is the project lead and owner at G.R.O.W., a collaborative digital production studio. She earned a B.F.A. from the University of Florida.

Jani Rodrigues is an Upper School Spanish teacher in the World Languages department. She previously worked as a Spanish teacher at Brookline High School and Pingree School and has international experience as an ESL teacher. She earned a B.A. from New York University and a M.S. from Pace University.

Allie Thompson is a Learning Specialist in the Upper School. She previously worked as a humanities teacher and Orton-Gillingham tutor at Carroll Middle School in Lincoln, Mass. and as a Content & Focus instructor at Winston Preparatory School in Connecticut. She earned a B.A. from Hobart & William Smith Colleges and a M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University.

As previously announced, Amy Tiberio is the new Director of Enrollment Management. She was most recently Vice President, Enrollment Management at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. She earned her B.S. from Bentley University and her M.S. from Bentley University McCullum Graduate School. She holds an Executive Doctor of Education degree from Boston College Lynch School of Education.

Former House Assistant Jordan Kerr is moving into the role of House Director. Jesselyn Putney started her tenure as a House Assistant in January 2026. She is now joined by four new House Assistants in the residential life program:

Ashleigh Chiwaya ’22 is returning to Dana Hall after earning her B.S. from Northeastern University, where she was active in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Black Student Association.

Miriam Hernandez recently earned her B.A. from Bowdoin College and is also a graduate of Westover School, where she served as a dorm proctor.

Emma Sendewicz recently graduated from New England College with a B.A. and has experience working with adolescents through art instruction, social media and swim education.

Mea Walsh is a recent graduate of Fitchburg State University where she earned two B.S. degrees and served as a Resident Assistant for two years.
