Greg Crane Named Varsity Squash Head Coach

Greg Crane has been named Dana Hall’s Varsity Squash head coach. He has more than a decade of coaching experience, including coaching teams at Philips Exeter Academy and Buckingham Browne & Nichols, and more recently coaching club squash while also working within the Dana Hall squash program last season.

As a player, he was ranked No. 1 as a U.S. junior in Massachusetts and achieved a top 12 national ranking. He also played for four years at Trinity College and was a part of three national championship teams. He continues to play squash as an adult and recently won the Massachusetts State Doubles Championship in 2022.

“There is a feeling of unity and comfort among the students and faculty at Dana Hall that is unique,” Crane said. “I’m excited to be welcomed into such a community to help grow the squash program as a whole. The commitment to squash shared between the players on the team excites me. When this commitment is combined with the strong potential of the individuals, results will come. I’m looking forward to getting the most out of the players, and producing the best possible results.”

Director of Athletics, Health and Wellness Mike White said, “Throughout the search process, I was consistently impressed by Greg’s passion for developing the sport of squash and his desire to help grow our overall program at Dana Hall. His enthusiasm for the game is obvious, but his drive to get the most out of his players is what sets him apart. I am very excited that he has decided to join us.”

Please join us in welcoming Coach Crane to this new role in the Dana Hall community.
