Soccer Standout Commits to Boston University

On Wednesday, November 12, Dana Hall School student-athlete P. Wheelan ’26 signed a ceremonial letter marking her intent to play Division I soccer for the Boston University Terriers.

Wheelan has a varsity career total of 64 goals and 22 assists. She was named the EIL Co-Player of the Year in 2024 as well as EIL All-League in 2022, 2023 and 2024; EIL Honorable Mention in 2021; NEPSAC All-League in 2023 and 2024; and NEPSAC Honorable Mention in 2022. Wheelan is also a two-year co-captain of the Varsity Soccer team.

Varsity Soccer Head Coach Rachel Wood said, “Paige leaves behind an incredible legacy, finishing her high school career with 64 goals and a new school record, despite missing her senior season due to injury. One of the most athletic players to ever come through our program, her rare combination of athleticism, tenacity and work rate has been the foundation of her success and that of her teammates. She can play both sides of the ball and plays anywhere we ask, willingly and enthusiastically. Beyond the field, she is known for her kindness, inclusivity and genuine leadership — helping transform the culture of our program. We’re proud to celebrate her commitment to continue her academic and athletic journey at Boston University.”

“Paige has been an outstanding member of our soccer program since she joined the team in 8th grade,” said Mike White, director of Athletics, Health and Wellness. “Her athletic abilities are unquestionable, as are her grit and determination, but to me, her leadership skills and exemplary sportsmanship always stood out as the defining characteristics of Paige on the soccer field. We know she will bring all of that and more to the BU soccer program, and at Dana Hall she will leave behind a legacy of excellence that her younger teammates can follow for years to come. We wish Paige all the best and thank her for showing us all what it means to be a Dragon.”
