  • Receiver

    Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Receiver.
    The individual in this position will be accountable for:
    • Checking all delivered items against order sheets and invoices for accuracy, not accepting any damaged and/or spoiled items, and reporting shortages, missed picks and any item found be lacking in quality to the management.
    • Rotating all product using the "First In First Out" principle, including stock in coolers, freezers, and all storage areas.
    • Delivering products to food production, customer service, and other areas, as well as stock coolers/freezers, as required.
    • Assisting with operations, particularly opening, stocking, and ensuring the staff has everything they need to open and operate the kitchen and dining hall, as well as assisting the staff, as needed, with timely preparation for busy periods.
    • Following all food safety guidelines, as required.
    • Cleaning and sanitizing all storage areas and the loading dock, fulfilling general cleaning duties such as floor care, ware washing, and minor equipment maintenance, as needed, as well as assisting with weekly physical inventory, and delivering products to other locations, as assigned.
    • Assisting in putting orders together to be delivered to other locations on campus; assisting with organizing the equipment for events; making deliveries for catering, as needed; assisting in delivering products that are missing on deliveries and events; breaking down events, as needed; assisting in the execution of all other related duties, as assigned, including a variety of food service related tasks in support of the unit, such as replenishing stock, assisting in the dish room, and department operations based on daily and seasonal business demands.
    • Safely driving a school vehicle to make deliveries of food, equipment, and supplies to other locations on campus and maintaining the general cleanliness of vehicle.
    • Assisting staff, as needed, with breakdown and closing of events and the operation.
    Candidates should have: a minimum of one year of experience receiving and storing goods or handling food service supplies in a high volume operation; an ability to read and understand receiving lists, packaging labels and vendor invoices; basic math skills, including food service weights and measures; a high school diploma or GED; a valid Massachusetts driver’s license in good standing with no restrictions; the ability to read, speak, and understand English fluently; the ability to lift, carry, and move at least 50 lbs. repeatedly; the ability to be a team player who is willing to be held accountable for the quality of products, for meeting tight deadlines, and for contributing to the success of all kitchen and other production; the ability to be detail-oriented and to multi-task; the flexibility to manage multiple priorities to meet required deadlines; ServSafe certification (preferred but, not required).

    This is a 12-month, full-time position reporting to the Director of Dining Services. The pay scale is $16-$18 per hour, plus full benefits.

  • Director of Alumnae Relations

    Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Director of Alumnae Relations. The individual in this position will be accountable for:
    • Fostering and enhancing close and meaningful relationships with alumnae throughout the U.S. and around the world
    • Continuing to cultivate and grow the Asia alumnae relations program
    • Providing overall management of two cornerstone events: She Sails and Reunion
    • Overseeing the newly formed Alumnae Council to implement long-range plans
    • Working with the Admission Office to develop an Alumnae Admission Ambassador Program
    • Soliciting a portfolio of alumnae for the Dana Fund
    Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the field with a solid track record in developing a strong core of volunteers, excellent organizational skills and be a detailed-oriented professional who is a self starter and skilled with handling multiple tasks in a team-oriented environment. Other requirements include strong writing and public speaking skills, ability to interact effectively with varied constituencies, and a working knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge. Ability to travel and evening work is required. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Advancement.

  • Barn Staff Member

    Dana Hall School seeks candidates for a full-time position in the Karen Stives ’68 Equestrian Center. General responsibilities include: mucking, general horse handling, tacking up and barn maintenance. This position includes weekend hours. Candidates should have experience in horse care and a driver’s license.

  • Swim Instructor - Part Time

    Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Swim Instructor - Part Time. The individual in this position will be accountable for:

    • Providing individual and group swim lessons for children

    This is a part-time position starting in September, approximately 12-15 hours/week. The individual will work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., subject to change as individual schedules are set. Hours may be adjusted. Candidates must have experience providing swim lessons to children between the ages of 3 and 8 as well as have current CPR certification or be willing to be certified on-site.
