Dana Hall prepares students to work and compete in a global society, so technology is a constant – both in and out of the classroom.
Sixth graders focus on basics like presentations, portfolios, programming and ethics; ninth graders take a required course in information and digital literacy. In addition to Upper School electives in Computer Science offered through the AP level, the appropriate use of technology is modeled by teachers and implemented by students in every discipline and facet of school life.
The technology landscape is continuously evolving, and Dana Hall is keeping up with those changes. All Dana Hall students now come to school with an iPad in their backpacks – a powerful learning tool in a small, mobile profile. This 1:1 iPad Program fosters creativity, collaboration and individualized learningin every subject, from Latin to math to English composition. It also facilitates the use of e-textbooks and helps students keep their course materials organized and readily accessible.
