Girls learning, leading, succeeding
myDANA
Dana girls are curious, collaborative, respectful and enthusiastic. They are leaders: leaders of clubs, activities, sport teams and more. They are also aware of the many types of leadership, understanding that a supporting role is just as important as taking the lead. They know that Dana Hall is a place where they can be themselves and are encouraged to be who they want to be. See what they have to say about about their school.

Favorite Dana Tradition

Cabaret

Dana Hall has many secrets and traditions engraved within the meaning of being a Dana girl. One of my favorite Dana Hall traditions is Cabaret. As a freshman, Cabaret was a great opportunity to get closer to many of my class peers and discover many of their talents and hobbies. Getting ready for Cabernet required all of the students to spend extra time together outside of school, which resulted in a closer knit class.

Favorite Dana ASSIGNMENT

Recreating Finding Nemo in iMovie

My favorite Dana Hall assignment was in my Western Civilization class when my group and I had to recreate the movie Finding Nemo in order for it to fit the Roman understanding of a tragic hero. It was really fun working with iMovie and applying the different voice over effects to each scene.

Favorite Dana Class

Geometry

So far, my favorite Dana Hall class has been Geometry. Mr. Enlow has shown us that shapes are more complicated than they look but they sure aren’t impossible to figure out. One thing I love about the class is that he constantly uploads notes on Google Drive, making it impossible to fall behind. He also has a great sense on humor that makes each class funny while at the same time educational.

Favorite Dana Hall Activity

Diversity Club

My favorite activity at Dana Hall is being part of the diversity club. In our meetings we discuss different diversity issues and how we can work to resolve them within our community. It's really nice to share and listen to other people's issues and perspectives.

Favorite Place on Campus

Indoor Track

Whenever I am stressed out or just want to be alone, I like to go to the track in the Shipley Center. Our indoor track is very comforting and is a great place to blow off steam. Sometimes I even go and lie down and do my homework. Running on the track makes me feel free and in control of my surroundings.

Favorite Dana Hall Memory

Winning the State Fencing Championship

I have many unforgettable memories, but my favorite memory would have to be when we won the State Championship in fencing. Throughout the winter season, we had been preparing for this one opportunity. We will never forget the moment we realized we had won. All the hard work, all the pressure and all the practice had finally paid off. We were simply the best in the state.
