Girls learning, leading, succeeding
myDANA
Dana girls are curious, collaborative, respectful and enthusiastic. They are leaders: leaders of clubs, activities, sport teams and more. They are also aware of the many types of leadership, understanding that a supporting role is just as important as taking the lead. They know that Dana Hall is a place where they can be themselves and are encouraged to be who they want to be. See what they have to say about about their school.

FAVORITE DANA TRADITION

Cabaret

My favorite Dana Hall tradition is Cabaret. At the end of the night, as we sang class songs, there was this immense feeling of love and support. In that moment I just felt like I finally belonged somewhere, and that somewhere was here.

Favorite Dana Assignment

Writing a Play

My favorite Dana Hall assignment was a play I wrote for my advanced acting class. I love writing, but I had never shared anything I had written with anyone but my English teacher. I was extremely nervous for my class to do a read-through of my play, but everyone loved it, and I walked away with a new feeling of confidence in my writing.

Favorite Dana Class

Literature and Composition II

My favorite Dana Hall class is Literature and Composition II. I love reading and writing, and I have loved everything we have read this year. My teacher has significantly helped me to expand my ideas and find my voice as a writer and student.

My Favorite Dana Hall Activity

Dance

My favorite activity at Dana Hall is dance. My dance friends are some of my best friends at Dana, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without their constant love and support. At the end of the day, I love coming back to the dance studio to share my stories with my friends while doing something we all love.

Favorite Place on Campus

Bardwell

My favorite place on campus is Bardwell. I practically live for performing arts, and spend half of my time at Bardwell for dance and play rehearsals. Bardwell is now a special place to me and makes me feel happy, safe and at home.

Favorite Dana Hall Memory

Directing the student directed play

My favorite Dana Hall memory was directing the student directed play. I never thought that I would be given the opportunity to do something as a sophomore that was typically done by a senior. It helped me to appreciate theater in a new way, and the experience helped me grow as an actor and human being.
