Girls learning, leading, succeeding
myDANA
Dana girls are curious, collaborative, respectful and enthusiastic. They are leaders: leaders of clubs, activities, sport teams and more. They are also aware of the many types of leadership, understanding that a supporting role is just as important as taking the lead. They know that Dana Hall is a place where they can be themselves and are encouraged to be who they want to be. See what they have to say about about their school.

FAVORITE DANA TRADITION

Senior-Sophomore

My favorite Dana Hall tradition is Senior-Sophomore. It was a great experience, and it allowed me to get a lot closer not only to my sophomore classmates, but to the senior class as well. With all the great traditions, I’m sure the answer to this question will change throughout my time at Dana. If I were asked this question a year ago, I would have said Cabaret, and if I were asked in a year, I bet I would answer MidWinter or Revels.

Favorite Dana Assignment

weekly current event assignments

My favorite assignment at Dana has been the series of weekly current event assignments I’ve been writing in my Middle Eastern Studies class. These assignments have challenged me to figure out what interests me and research it deeply. They have really brought the history we are learning to life by tying it in to important events in the world today.

Favorite Dana Class

English class

Even though math and science come most naturally to me, I have found myself falling absolutely head over heels in love with my English classes. They have helped me grow and develop as not only a writer but a thinker. My English teachers have become role models and mentors and have taught me the skills I need to take on the world with style.

My Favorite Dana Hall Activity

tennis

My favorite Dana Hall activity is tennis. I’ve never been the best athlete but practicing every day with a group of girls that I truly adore has made working out and competing my favorite part of every day. Team breakfasts and theme practices are an absolute blast and the community and team have helped make Dana my second home.

Favorite Place on Campus

Saliba Courtyard

My favorite place on the Dana campus is the Saliba Courtyard. The courtyard has become an amazing place to hang out during frees on warm days. The area is absolutely stunning and provides an amazing atmosphere for studying as well as hanging out.

Favorite Dana Hall Memory

South Africa trip

My favorite Dana Hall memory is the spring break South Africa trip. Dana offers many great opportunities including a trip to South Africa every other year. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d be visiting South Africa, let alone with some of my closest friends. The trip enabled us to interact with real South Africans as they experienced their real lives, an opportunity I could never have had as a tourist.
