The Association hosts professional and social regional events, including our annual Reunion Weekend and biennial women & leadership conference, provides support to all Dana alumnae, helps the School achieve its alumnae fundraising goals and facilitates communication between old and new Dana friends.
In 2015-16 the Alumnae Board and the Young Alumnae Board took a hiatus while the School, with the help of an outside consultant, reflected on the current Board configuration and work, and researched best practices of independent school alumni boards.
2016-17 is a rebuilding year for the Alumnae Board. In the fall and winter, an ad hoc committee made up of alumnae and Advancement staff will define new Board committees, write committee purposes and goals, and recruit members.The new Alumnae Board structure, leadership and membership will be complete in the spring.
According to the Alumnae Board By-Laws, all members (who serve a three year term) represent the Association. The officers of the Board consist of a president and a vice-president. The president is a member of the Board of Trustees of the school during her term in office.
