  • FAQs

What is the cost to attend She Sails?
There is no registration fee for She Sails, but it is important that you let us know you are coming, so we can plan workshops, panel discussions and meals. If you are inclined, you can help underwrite the cost of the event by becoming a She Sails Sponsor. Please note that alumnae attending Reunion events during the weekend must also register for Reunion.
I’m planning to fly into town for She Sails. What arrangements should I make?
Boston’s Logan Airport is very accessible to Dana Hall. It’s about a 30-minute drive via the Mass. Pike. You also can take Logan Express to Framingham. From there, Dana Hall is a short cab ride away. JFK Taxi in Natick (508-653-4500) can provide service.
    Where should I stay?
She Sails speakers, panelists and attendees can book rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Natick Hotel, 342 Speen Street, Natick (+1 (508) 655-6100). The special rate for Friday and Saturday nights is $129.00 per room per night but you need to book by March 29. Be sure to mention “Dana Hall Reunion” when making your reservation to get the special rate. The price is per room, not per person. There is a free hotel shuttle service from the Framingham Logan Express to/from the hotel, and Dana Hall will be providing a free shuttle service from the hotel to/from campus. For more information, contact Director of Special Events Kathy Luby at (781) 489-1362. There also are several other local hotels in the area.
What is the day like? Can I come for just part of the day?
The schedule for the day is outlined here. Yes, you can come for part of the day, but you won't want to miss a thing!
    Is this a job fair?
Not at all. She Sails is a day to highlight women’s achievements and leadership in many ways but to also give the students a window to the world beyond our campus, to stir curiosity and to celebrate our community. It is a chance to connect with Dana alumnae, current Dana students, and other members of the Dana community.
    Where should I park?
There is free parking on campus. Dana Hall Campus Safety staff will be on hand to direct drivers to appropriate parking spaces; kindly follow their instructions and do not park in illegal spots or fire lanes.
    Where do I check in?
Registration, along with the bulk of the She Sails activities, will be set up in the Shipley Center for Athletics, Health and Wellness. If you have not been to campus in a while, take a look at the updated campus map.
Can I bring my children? Will my Middle Schooler be too young?
The content of the She Sails conference is appropriate for middle school and high school age children, 10 and older. All children younger than 10 should be accompanied by an adult. There will be no child care provided on site.
    Are men invited?
She Sails is officially “for women, by women,” but interested men are welcome to attend.
What steps are you taking to make this event more sustainable?
Dana Hall's Green Team is partnering with Bootstrap Compost to compost waste from She Sails. In addition, tables will be covered with linen table cloths (instead of plastic or paper) and we will use compostable cups, plates, napkins and utensils, instead of plastic. Most plants will be reused and replanted.
I can’t make it on April 29. Is there a way for me to get involved?
You can support the She Sails program as an event sponsor. You also can follow the day-of happenings on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using #shesails17. Portions of the event will be broadcast on Facebook Live, so make sure you're a fan of the offical Dana Hall School page.

  • Getting to Campus

    Commuter Rail:

From the airport, you can take the MBTA Silver Line to South Station, and then take the Purple Commuter Rail Framingham/Worcester Line to the Wellesley Square MBTA stop. Dana Hall's campus is just five-minute walk from Wellesley Square MBTA Station, a stop on the Framingham/Worcester Line of the Commuter Rail.

If you are traveling by subway (also called the "T") the nearest stop to Dana is Woodland, which is on the D train of the Green Line. Take a taxi from Woodland Station to Dana.

    Logan Express Bus:

The Logan Express coach service to Framingham is a nonstop bus service from the airport. Be sure to take the "Framingham" bus. After arriving at the Framingham stop, you can take a taxi to Dana Hall campus and/or a hotel.

The travel time by taxi directly from the airport can be as short as 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis are available at the airport, but below are some recommended taxi services.

"Dana offers many great opportunities including a trip to South Africa every other year. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d be visiting South Africa, let alone with some of my closest friends. The trip enabled us to interact with real South Africans as they experienced their real lives, an opportunity I could never have had as a tourist."
